After one of the most wonderful performances at royal Imperial Auditorium, an interviewer asked the magician,
"Sir, we would like to hear about your secret of success, will you please share with us?"
The magician smiled and replied,
"There is no such secret, but I can tell you my story...
When I was a small kid, a magic show at our school absolutely amazed me!
So I started reading some books, attended few magic shows, followed some street magicians...
When I came to know about 10 to 20 new magic tricks, I started performing at our school.
One day our teacher caught me in the class and scolded for doing this nonsense.
'Its not a respectable job.'
These were her words...
So I asked her meaning of respect.
At that time, the question was so sudden, that she could not explain me the meaning of respect and ended up making fun of my stupidity in front of the class...
I told this incidence to my father. So one day he took me to his office.
'Whenever someone calls other person, Sir or Madam, its a symbol of respect, Now observe carefully!' That's what he said to me.
At the end of the day he asked me about my observations.
I told him that,
'Person sitting on the chair out there is giving respect to everyone! The person sitting in the compartment is giving respect to person sitting in cabins! A person sitting in smaller cabin is giving respect to person sitting in bigger cabin!
It simply means, more and more space you acquire inside those four walls,
More and more respect you get!'
My father started laughing after listening to my reply.
'What happened father? Am I wrong?' I asked him
'No not at all son, this is exactly what your teacher thinks about respect!
So what you have decided about becoming a magician?'
'I am very much excited about becoming a magician dad! I will get more respect than any other man in your Office! Because auditoriums and theaters are much bigger than any of the cabins in your office!'
I never stopped after that... I kept performing magic at streets, schools, stages auditoriums, everywhere!
So whatever I am today is just because my teacher could not explain me the meaning of respect that day and my dad did not tell me what my teacher wanted to say!
Otherwise I would have spent my entire life at some cubical or cabin at my dad's company!"
